Stories Of People Of Agra - Kaleem

S.P.A.

Stories Of People Of Agra Conducted by Agra Aur Hum.

Isovi is not only a silver jewelery brand but also a way of existence . It stands of equality, self-love, mental health and beauty in everything and everyone.

Kaleem, an engineer by education, started it when he began discovering the beautiful work that was happening throughout the country but was inaccessible to everyone. So with the aim of getting the most beautiful jewellery, at affordable prices to the city. He was later joined by Neha, who added a lot of new dimensions to the brand, like how isovi began integrating the work of artists into jewellery and creating a different universe into itself.

ISOVI, with its values of equality ( among gender, cast, religion), self-love and being comfortable in your own skin, sustainable in everything we make and not add to already existing load of waste produced by fast fashion industries, and paying our artists and artisans, well, are the core beliefs of the brand. Isovi is a people's brand and not something propagated by an individual.

All our products are made so they would survive for very long ( and often passed over to the subsequent generations). We use Zardozi, marble inlay, wooden boxes ( providing to dying arts and artisans ) , old sarees and seed paper as our packaging to boost local economy. We are not in the business of creating jewellery, we are in the business of creating love, memories and a better world through whatever we do. We use the tag line "With Love From Agra", because a lot of reasons one of them being, we have taken for granted, the beautiful city of Agra, which has provided us with a lot of resources.

Agra is one the uniquely placed cities which even though being a 2 tier city receives so much exposure both international and national. It hosts so many thriving industries. And we have exploited it for so long without giving back. So "With love from Agra" is a reminder of where we come from, and that Agra also needs healing and love from us. - Kaleem

Stories Of People Of Agra ; Syed Faiz Ali Shah

Syed Faiz Ali Shah, the 40th descendant of Hazrat Muhammad ( PBHM) .  He has substantially followed the legacy of his ancestors in carrying forward the essence of sufism. Sufism is as old as several other diverse cultures prevalent in the City Of Taj - Agra. It is an ancient culture that is still followed by religious people with devotion. He told us the articulate insight of sufism, the core of which is Tasawwuf - "raah jo apne sudhar aur adhyatm ki taraf le jaye" meaning "a path that leads to our betterment". He then narrated about the durgah of Hazrat Amjad Ali Shah Azhar Akbarabadi and Maikash Akbarabadi (1902-1993). This durgah is popularly known as: Dargah Panja Madrsa .  Syed Muhammad Ali Shah 'Maikash' Qadri Niazi was a scholar of Arabic, Pershian and Urdu. He was a mystic scion of a well-known Sufi house and a distinguised poet.  Some of his ethereal pieces are mentioned-below: *Aa Aashiqon men beth fana aashiqon se seekh.* *yeh husn khu...
