Rohan Verma

Rohan a.k.a. Rover is a rapper based out of our city. He started rapping to the tunes of Eminem's Love the Way You Lie when he was in Standard 7(2010). It has been a decade of attachment to hip-hop music for him.

After completing schooling from St. Peter's College, Agra, he graduated in BMS from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, DU. He even performed a couple of times in his school and college events.

He began writing raps in English in 2017 but has switched to Hindi since the past one and a half year. When asked what he puts into his songs/verses, he said - "I try to include my personal experiences, my past learnings, a subtle messaging about what's wrong with the world these days. I usually keep my tracks casual, I want people to listen to them anytime, anywhere, in any mood."

Rapping is a passion to him and we can support that statement after listening to his lyrics, just how heartily he puts them together for his listeners. He has performed at several open mics in the city and at Agra's Chapter 1 Cafe on the New Year's Eve.

Rapping is just the 'Rover bit' of Rohan. Apart from that, he is a content strategist, a footballer, he loves to travel and eat. He is presently working in the digital marketing industry for his MBA internship.

His favourite artists include Divine, Eminem, 50 Cent & Arijit Singh. He has attended concerts of Divine and Arijit, thrice each. Yes, he really is a true fan!

We wish him luck with his talent and hope he makes it big someday.

She is a social activist and the winner of the prestigious Marsshot campaign. Syed Faiz Ali Shah, the 40th descendant of Hazrat Muhammad ( PBHM) . He has substantially followed the legacy of his ancestors in carrying forward the essence of sufism. Sufism is as old as several other diverse cultures prevalent in the City Of Taj - Agra. It is an ancient culture that is still followed by religious people with devotion. He told us the articulate insight of sufism, the core of which is Tasawwuf - "raah jo apne sudhar aur adhyatm ki taraf le jaye" meaning "a path that leads to our betterment". He then narrated about the durgah of Hazrat Amjad Ali Shah Azhar Akbarabadi and Maikash Akbarabadi (1902-1993). This durgah is popularly known as: Dargah Panja Madrsa .
